Semenology:

• Semen analysis serves as the cornerstone in assessing male fertility. It provides vital information about sperm count, motility (movement), and morphology (shape) present in the semen, offering valuable insights into potential fertility issues in men. However, the interpretation of semen analysis requires expertise and should be conducted by trained professionals. At Kulki IVF, our semenologists specialize in this analysis, ensuring accurate results. It's crucial for individuals to abstain from sexual activity for at least three days before providing a semen sample. Ideally, the sample should be collected through masturbation in the laboratory. However, alternative collection methods are available if necessary.

Sperm DNA Fragmentation Test:

• This specialized assessment focuses on evaluating the integrity of sperm DNA, which is crucial for assessing the quality of genetic material within sperm. Despite apparent adequacy in sperm count and motility, some men may have deficiencies in the internal quality of their sperm. Evaluating sperm DNA integrity helps identify such issues. At Kulki IVF, we recommend this test for individuals who have faced challenges such as unsuccessful IVF cycles, recurrent miscarriages, unexplained infertility, or borderline semen parameters with uncertain quality.
